The Rose Colored Blog Hop - Day 3

The Rose Colored Glasses Sew It - Show It challenge hosted by the talented Carol with Just Let Me Quilt, started on Monday. There have been lots of beautiful projects displayed so far!

Today is my day! The challenge this time

Your sewn project must have one or more of the following:

Rose/pink fabric
Eyeglasses
Roses
Positive Words

I was really excited about this challenge and decided to make items using rose/pink colored fabric and positive words.

Sewing Machine Cover

I needed a new cover for one of my sewing machines and pulled some pinkish scraps from my Cotton and Steel bag. I purchased the Creative Grids Kitty Cornered ruler last month and wanted to try it. In the past I've paper pieced kite blocks and was incredibly happy to find an easier way to make them.

Patriotic Door Banner

I used a beautiful blue with red roses as the background fabric in the star portion of this flag banner.

Pixel Heart Baby Quilt

This quilt measures 30 x 30 inches and will be a gift for a friend's baby girl whose name is Rosie! I had enough scraps on hand to make two of these quilts!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects!  Be sure to stop by the other bloggers today and tomorrow for more inspiration!

  1. Welp, I love everything you did - and I have questions - lol! The sewing machine cover is soooo pretty. So those are called "kite blocks"? I love them. I'm checking out the "Kitty Corner" ruler on Amazon. What is the gorgeous background rose fabric on your door hanging? And how is it hung on your door? How perfect is the rose pixel heart for "Rosie"! You captured the Rose theme beautifully. :)

  5. Hi Karla! Well, you've been busy. Your sewing machine cover is pretty. I bet it is a nice addition to your sewing room. The door banner is a fabulous idea! I like that it is nice and long instead of being short. I have to make some of those myself - thanks for sharing the idea with us. Finally, the baby quilt is beyond perfect. I can see a sweet little baby all wrapped up in your love. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne
    P.S. I love Linda's questions - I hope I can hear your answers, too.
