Hello there ...Happy Tuesday!
The past 10 days have been extremely busy! We had family come for a visit, watched our grandson play in a Rugby tournament in Tampa, then went to Fort Meyers to watch hubby play in a softball tournament and spend some time at the beach. No sewing and no computer time - it was wonderful!
I spent most of yesterday sewing, I pulled out my Sherri & Chelsi scrap bag and made a couple of mug rugs using a free style quilt as you go (QAYG) quarter log cabin quilt block.
I added a cute heat transferred vinyl (HTV) mother's day design to the mug rugs to use as gift ideas in my shop.
I came across an old tutorial written by Bonnie Hunter ( the scrap queen) named Crooked Courthouse Steps. Using the concepts from the tutorial I created a 16 x 16 inch quilted throw pillow, using more of the Sherri & Chelsi scraps.
I used a QAYG technique to create the pillow top, and added another Mother's Day HTV design once the pillow was quilted.
Creating and finishing these small scrappy projects definitely got me back in sewing mode!
Until next time craft the life you love ❣
